I’m starting to work on an upcoming exhibition titled “Our Lives, Our Space: Views of Women in a Red-Light District. ” This show will take place in the Sculpture Court, another exhibition space we have in the Jewett Arts Center in the Art Department. We’re excited to be working with the Women’s and Gender Studies Department at Wellesley College through Assistant Professor Sea-Ling Chen, who initiated this exhibition. The exhibition will feature a collection of forty photographs taken by women in the Yongsan red light district, Seoul, Korea. The photographs focus on the way personal histories are written into the space and architecture of the red light district. Read more about this exhibition here.
