1:00-5:00pm
JAC 247
Registration opens Monday Feb. 27 @ 12:00am

Workshop Description
A portfolio is display of your design education, your talent, and your thinking. It aims to show off your work, to entertain and grab viewers’ attention and start a conversation. Your portfolio shows your ability to communicate effectively, your
understanding of layouts, colors, forms, details, elements of surprise, rhythm and scale—it is a demonstration of your problem solving skills.

In this workshop, you will begin to design your digital portfolio. The workshop will cover visual communication—the design, the organization, and labeling; we will also cover the technical aspects of production—digitizing your analog/non-digital work, compressing your digital files for optimal and quick accessibility, learning how to prepare your digital files for printing and and exploring online portfolio resources to display your work.
