Photoshop: Photo Retouching

In this workshop, we will introduce the basics of photo editing using Adobe Photoshop. Simple Photoshop methods and approaches can dramatically enhance the quality and look of your digital photos. Using layers and various tools in Photoshop, we will cover color correction, contrast, file formats, cropping and resizing of images for web and print, and more. This workshop is essential for any art or architecture student preparing their portfolios in addition to people who would like to improve their personal photos or touch up scanned images. Please bring 3-5 digital images with you to the workshop to work on.
Alex Hart is a director, animator, and designer who works in a wide range of multimedia. He was an animator for several years at Olive Jar Studios, Inc. an Art Director/Senior Designer at Hewlett Packard until becoming a Senior Designer at Gamelogic. His films have been shown at several national and international film festivals, including ASIFA San Francisco, ASIFA East New York City as well as the Ottawa International Student Animation Festival. He has taught at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University and currently teaches Computer Animation in the Film/Animation/Video Department at the Rhode Island School of Design.
